Now that you've articulated a question/hypothesis, do you have new aspirations for student success? Does this process help you to see possibilities for measuring successful intervention programs? Explain how you think this will be different than your current campus practices?
Currently, I think some after-school teachers have a "I've taught all day, and now I just watch kids." I hope Action Research will accomplish one of two things. First, I hope if after-school program turns out to be "babysitting service," that the program is terminated. Secondly, I hope both students and teachers will come to value social intelligences, and really tune-in to one another and connect in after-school. I want to add value to the students.
